The first of an initial seven episode series that will explore the history of the lochside from the end of the last ice age through to the end of the first millenium AD.

In this first episode we'll explore what we can surmise about the natural history of the lochside prior to and during the return of people and what clues there are to the earliest presence and settlement around the loch.

My name is Alasdair Eckersall and through working at Ben Lomond for over 30 years I've had the privilege of getting to know this part of Loch Lomond, and the wider region, relatively well. I feel its history has not been well covered to date so this is a contribution to redressing that to some extent. I hope you enjoy this podcast!
