After The Storm

Mark 4:39–40
“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”

There is something about the silence after a storm. A time to exhale and observe what has happened.

One moment the wind is howling or the waves are crashing.
The next moment everything is calm.
In Mark chapter four, Jesus stepped into the chaos and spoke three simple words: “Peace, be still.” Immediately the storm ceased. But then He asked a question that reaches beyond the wind and into the heart or our issues:
“Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?”

It seems the storm had stopped, but the lessons had just begun.
