Don’t Take My Word For It

After the water pitcher, take a left.

In this episode I apply 2 study techniques that have worked really well for me to remember more details and make things interesting. As you follow through the discussion and the questions I ask myself and attempt to answer, you will see the application of these techniques firsthand on the story of the Lord's supper. I know it sounds boring; trust me, it is everything but. I asked myself the following questions:

  • Why did Jesus choose a water pitcher being carried by someone as a sign for their location to be? It sounds like asking someone to take a right by the palm tree in a place full of palm trees.
  • Why do we see Jesus drinking more than one cup of wine if the Lord's supper we know only includes one cup?
  • Why Judas and what do we know about his life?
  • How do the disciples end up arguing over who is the greatest right after Jesus lets them know someone in the room will betray Him? That is a strange transition.
