I had no idea what to expect when I knocked on the door of my great, great grandmother's house that frigid winter's day. But what I found was a family who've not only cared for the home beautifully, uncovering its original 1700s features, they've ensured the property, including all 140 acres, is protected for generations to come. They've used the property to not only nourish their own family, but their community, just as Hannah did.
So much of what we do here at Pantry Hill is rooted in family tradition, and much of that from stories of Hannah on her working farm with her open door and open heart. Not just for her ten children, but their children and their children's children. A legacy of nurturing,
now five generations strong.
