Utah agricultural producers in all 29 counties are now eligible to apply for emergency drought relief loans through the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food after Gov. Spencer Cox issued a new statewide drought emergency declaration. Applications will be accepted for six months, from May 21 through Nov. 21. According to UDAF, the loans are intended to help agricultural operations cover disaster-related losses that are not reimbursed through insurance or other indemnity programs.
