Columnist and broadcaster Carrie Sheffield grew up in squalor with an abusive father. She was able to escape her circumstances, and was not only able to achieve success but learned to forgive her abuser. She recently published a memoir entitled “Motorhome Prophecies: A Journey of Healing and Forgiveness.”

And Dr. Ming Wang escaped to the United States from the cruelty of the communist regime in China with barely any money, and has become the leading expert in eye surgery. He now has a movie about his life, called “From Darkness to Sight.”
