Finding himself in foster care at age 9, Manny Lopez ran away, stole a BMX bike, and rode over 28 miles with the hopes of finding his mother, but to no avail. By age 10 he was a meth dealer; by age 11 he was an addict. He spent the rest of his youth hopping between juvie and the streets, eventually bound by a 35 year-long drug addiction which landed him in and out of prison 11 times.
