This morning rant is to remind us that when we sin it's against God and his laws. We sin against God but our sin causes pain towards people and ourselves.

Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.

Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
