Our guest is Katie White, Coordinator of the Age-Friendly Columbus Initiative.
Katie began the AFC Initiative after her work of building the "Village Connections," a supportive community concept helping seniors and neighbors stay connected and independent.
Katie covers an overview of the initiative and how it began in Columbus; how she was able to bring such a diverse group of entities together to make this a reality; highlights of the discoveries during the two-year research; the 8 domains that were covered under this project (including employment and seniors); and the 17 strategies that have been outlined in the Strategic Plan for Age-Friendly Columbus.
Email Katie if you have any questions, or would like to be a part of the next steps in the implementation of the initiative -
