World history should not be measured by our rationalistic, post-Enlightenment categories. The world is measured by God's redemption. If this is our perspective, then it is clear we are in the same Age as Paul and Barnabas, even though we no longer have Apostles.--Theirs was-and ours is-an era of extraordinary presence, power, and joy in the lives of very ordinary believers like us. This is the Holy Spirit's mission- to make the glory of Jesus known through his people. Acts 13 presents our time as one of great presence, power, and joy. --We have no reason to be fearful.
