Cohorted’s host, Suzanne Baum, speaks with Dr Maryam Zamani about her background and education and what has led her to founding her own skincare brand. After a truly eye-opening trip to Thailand with Operation Smile and seeing first-hand how surgery can transform your life, Zamani knew she wanted to specialise in a surgical field.  

Zamani talks about her decision to pursue oculoplastic surgery, her move to London and her appreciation of non-surgical treatments. She also discusses the difference between America and the UK, and how the energy in London gave her the impetus to start her own skincare brand – MZ Skincare, which launched exclusively at Harrods in 2016.  

Finally, Zamani talks about her concern about social media and its impact on young people’s perception of themselves, as well as her belief that everyone has something beautiful about them.
