In “Agents Of Change,” Pastor Jeremy Gorham from Crosstown Alliance Church walks us through how Nehemiah was an agent of change for God and how we can become one today.

15 Change Agents in Nehemiah 3:

  1. Recognize individuals matter to God (every person, every role)
  2. Connect the world’s brokenness to your ministry
  3. A BIG vision requires “all hands on deck”
  4. Let go without letting up (delegation)
  5. Shake people out of their apathy
  6. Unity amongst diversity (“next to him”)
  7. Focus on tasks closest to home (“opposite his own house”)
  8. Leaders lead the way (the spiritual leaders went first)
  9. Invest in something bigger than yourself (Tekoites lived 5 miles away)
  10. Be willing to “stoop to serve the Lord”
  11. Don’t let people who stop the work, pull off the wall
  12. Serve where you are needed, not jut where you are gifted
  13. Be 100% committed (the whole city gave of themselves for 52 days!)
  14. Have more than just a motivational speech
  15. Take care of your section of the wall (you can’t rebuild everything but you can do your part)
