This show is a reflection on Healthy Aging Month celebrated nationally each September, and is geared toward teaching the aged of our society how to live a healthy and longer life every day of the year. I share information on the national PACE Program - All Inclusive Care for the Elderly, and how it is helping thousands of older adults maintain a greater quality of life as they enter their sixties, seventies, eighties and beyond. There is no reason to give up on living a good life because of one’s age. More importantly we must focus less on getting older and more on staying physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually healthy. The goal is for seniors to remain independent at home as long as possible by socializing with others, eating only nutritional foods, exercising regularly, and following the doctor’s orders. Also, seniors must engage in various daily activities to keep their minds alert including reading, doing puzzles, learning to use an adult computer, finding a great hobby and other things to stimulate the brain. This show gives tips on how to beat the inevitable odds of aging by altering our daily health habits so that they work for us instead of against us as we age.
