Agnes Bernauer was possibly the first wife of Albert III, Duke of Bavaria. Albert and Agnes were madly in love, but not everyone at court in Munich was in love with Agnes like Albert was. Agnes came from a poor family and many at court thought that because she was poor she wasn't good enough for the future Duke of Bavaria. Some hated her so much that they would even accuse her of witchcraft.
