Trend of increasing numbers of AI sired calves continues for the third year.
Of the calves registered with the American Angus Association in fiscal year (FY) 2022, 57% featured an artificial insemination (AI) sire. This reflects a trend that has seen a steady increase during the last three years. Of these AI sired calves, 43,833 were the result of embryo transfer (ET). This number is an 8.2% increase from FY 2021.
