I attended the AI for Animals Conference at UC Berkeley! 🤯 It was a wild ride through the intersection of tech and animal welfare. 🤖🐶

We explored how AI can help save endangered species 🐼, the ethics of using AI in farming 🐷, and even the potential for AI to give animals legal rights! ⚖️

Some highlights:

• Could AI help us talk to animals?! 🤯 The Earth Species Project is working on decoding animal languages. Imagine understanding what your dog is REALLY saying! 🐶🗣️
• A future without animal suffering? 🤔 David Pierce painted a picture of a world where AI helps eliminate pain through things like genome reform. 🤯
• Are artificial pets the future? 🤖🐱 We discussed how AI companions might impact human empathy and what it means for animal welfare.

It's clear AI is going to play a HUGE role in the future of animal welfare. This conference was just the beginning of the conversation!
