How will AI evolve from where it is now to what we see in Star Trek? We'll talk about the ways AI is depicted across the different series, how realistic the portrayal is (or isn't), whether the franchise is anti-AI, etc. We'll discuss some of the ways that AI could be used in the future, such as surgical operations on different aliens, controlling aspects of things like warp drive and transporter technology, and how AI isn't always talking Androids and evil computers but often integrated seamlessly into the background.
