About Dr. Melvin (Mel) Speisman, MD, FACP, FAIM
Dr. Melvin Speisman is an academic internist and hypertension specialist with more than 25 years of experience in clinical medicine, medical education, and leadership. He is an expert in the management of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart failure, and other complex chronic conditions, with a strong focus on prevention and patient-centered care.
A lifelong medical educator, Dr. Speisman has mentored countless residents and students and is a lifetime member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed advanced certifications in Artificial Intelligence and Healthcare at Harvard Medical School, MIT, and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and is currently enrolled in the Stanford AI in Healthcare program.
He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of Artificial Intelligence and Medicine. In 2024, he became President of the American College of Artificial Intelligence and Medicine (ACAIM), helping shape the future of AI in clinical practice and medical education.
