When they were young, my children would ask me, "What did you used to do before the internet?" I will likely see the day when my children ask me, " How did you ever survive writing your own reports, reviewing documents, debugging code, meeting face-to-face (yuk!) with customers, and talking with people at work?" The message that's coming clear is: a diploma alone is no longer a ticket to a stable career.I’m not the only parent losing sleep over this. At dinner tables and in group chats, parents are questioning the wisdom of sinking tens of thousands into tuition. Nearly half of Gen Z job seekers say AI has made their degrees irrelevant, calling college a waste of time and money.
