Historically and even in present times the southern region of the USA was considered backwards and ignorant. Things have changed. A lot of entertainment is moving to the South and more people from other parts of the USA are coming to the South because of cheaper cost of living. The South has the best food and best weather. It's not perfect but there is no other place I'd rather be!
