What do you do when your experience doesn't match a promise God gave you? Praise. How? Understand that praise is not to be a "when I see God come through... then I'll praise" but a "Lord, I know you will come through, it is who You are". Just as Jesus gave thanks before the miracle of feeding the five thousand, we are to give thanks before we see.
