AJ Hendy a Former NFL and XFL player and currently plays in the CFL. He joins Life After Sports Podcast hosted by Kevin Johnson. He shares being born and raised in Maryland. He talks about being a big Sean Taylor fan. He attended Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland. We discussed his hobbies such as playing cards, chess and video games.  He committed to the University of Maryland. AJ wanted to be near to his family in Maryland and that weighed heavily on his decision. He talks about being undrafted into the league and the mindset that is needed to succeed. AJ shares his journey regarding to the NFL and throughout the XFL as well. He talks about attacking the psychology of football. He explained that throughout his journey in football he experienced self-discovery. He talks about the XFL ending so abruptly and how it impacted his teammates as well. One of his most important moments of his career was meeting Kobe Bryant twice and listening to his encouraging words that he shared with his teammates.
