Al Woodley aka Alfred Woodley is the Featured Storyteller on Radio Theatre For Your Soul - Where Storytellers Gather...Around the Mic! His story, titled "Lowtide in the East River" offers a glimpse into his experience of working in law enforcement before he became the actor, writer, director & musician he is today! A proud NYC native, raised uptown in Harlem Mr. Woodley's talents can be seen on both the big & small screen, commercials and voice overs. Some of his notable appearances include Insecure, Greys Anatomy & The O Clan now available to stream on Tubi! You might also recognize his voice as the producer/writer/singer for Radio Theatre For Your Soul's theme song titled "It's Radio Theatre For Your Soul"!
Featured Storyteller Al Woodley, attended the Roberto Clemente School of the Arts I.S 195 where he was a student of both the vocal music and Drama departments. Alfred went on to Stevenson High School in the Bronx and performed in the school's band as a drummer while also taking part in the school's drama class. After leaving high school he attended Bronx community college and later John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Going on to join the New York City Department of Correction, he worked as a Correction Officer at the infamous Rikers Island. Featured Storyteller Al Woodley fondly refers to his time as a Correction Officer as his biggest role ever because it gave him maximum power to draw from as an actor. After serving a decade of service to his beloved city of New York, he headed to Los Angeles where he began his professional career in the entertainment industry.
