It's like sitting at the kitchen table, having a cup of coffee or tea, with the men and women of Alaska personally telling you their stories. Fantasic True Stories by Genuine Alaskans
This is a great book! Once I started reading I could hardly put it down. Stories about real Alaskans with true insight into living and working in the Last Frontier. I highly recommend this book to all ages. Educational as well as intriguing. This book is a great read and it also makes wonderful gifts for your friends. I enjoyed it so much I ordered several copies for friends.
The real history of real people
Alaskan People is a really fun read. Alaska has often been referred to as the last frontier in America. This book gives you a peek into the lives of the hardy people that were able to tame (as much as Alaska CAN be tamed!) this great state.
It's a great book for my kids, too. I like them hearing stories of strength and courage, of individualism and a never-give-up attitude. For people who want to experience life through the stories of those who lived it, this is a great book.
Brilliant, Globally Entertaining and Educational.
Well done! Well written! Beautiful photos and enjoyable for both my 5 and 8-year-old children as well as myself. If you are looking for a book the family can read without any fear of inappropriateness that is both educational and entertaining - look no further. We all, mom, dad, and kids thoroughly enjoyed the book and the photos tell a story all on their own.
