A bit more about Alberto
Ass. Prof. Alberto Firrincieli is a pianist and harpsichordist from Italy. He graduated in Piano, Harpsichord, Composition and Electronic Music, and he dedicated himself to the study of ancient keyboards. He completed his education graduating in Musicology at the University of Pavia (Italy). He has performed many recitals as a soloist and with orchestra for renowned institutions in Italy and Asia. As a scholar, he is regularly invited to international conferences about music education and piano pedagogy. He currently teaches at the Assumption University of Thailand, and he is the Director of IKA – International Keyboard Academy, and ITYO – Italian Thai Youth Orchestra. He collaborates with several Embassies in the organization of cultural and artistic events.
He is the father of Marco, a 12 Y-old boy. Being in the position of both father and educator, he experienced the joy of discovering how teaching music can be fun and interesting in the same time. Piano was a toy through which explore and invent sonorities, make experiments and combine sounds according to some music principles. Music has been (is) also a way to share experience and knowledge between father and son.
