This short monologue is another ‘story of my life’ episode brought to you in conjunction with the Arts Council and Our Solutions CIC, a U.K. based mental health charity;  part of a powerful initiative to help a group of individuals who have all endured some form of trauma and have taken the opportunity to reflect on their journey. This particular story is one of friendship, loss, grief, recovery and empowerment. Rita and her dear friend were having an evening together in the year 2011. Sadly, her friend did not return home after that night out; she had been involved in a terrible road incident. A brave account of the events that took place afterwards - grief, alcohol abuse and pain.
