Welcome to another zoom meeting and podcast of 'Here's Tom with the Weather'...where we investigate the plethora of Higher powers that populate the vast universe of 12 step Recovery - where alcoholics riff out on step 3 and step 11... as prescribed by the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous who encourage us to find some kind of higher power – as long as it's not us...
We speak to people with all manner of higher powers - from those who are atheists, sufis, agnostics, Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Followers of Islam, Hermetics, Paganists, NON-DUALITY...we leave no stone unturned...its our aim to promote understanding and open-mindedness so that alcoholics and addicts can find a higher power of their own - to stay sober and carry the message.
We promote tolerance and empathy for folks who have different spiritual practices than us. It's all about Live and Let Live.
Please remember that this is not an AA meeting... it's just some people's version of the truth – whatever that may be.

And today we're going to speak to...Stephen Donnelly
After six years of arduous study, Stephen was ordained a Roman Catholic priest at age 42 and spent two decades as a spiritual leader and beloved priest.
In his memoir, A Saint and a Sinner, Stephen shares his brutally honest account of his journey of sinfulness and descent into a world of cocaine and alcohol addiction—until he got sober in 2002… Stephen was named Man of the Year in Religion, hosted the Fallen on Long Island drug forum, was named Grand Marshall of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and won The Fisher of Men Award for his work in the recovery world. He is eighteen years sober and is active in Alcoholics Anonymous' Twelve Step Program inspiring others to live a sober life.
