PART 2 of 2
Aleksandar "The Great" Duric arrived in Singapore in 1999 not knowing what his future would hold. He pushed through and became the star of Singaporean football, becoming the all-time top scorer in the S-League. He was also the first foreign talent to captain the Singapore National team. He retired at the end of 2014 to pursue coaching and charity work.
Today, Aleksander is a principal of Sport Singapore and ActiveSG Football Academy, where he passes on valuable experience to his adopted country and looks after aspiring children and talent.
This is the second part of a two-part series about an exceptional talent who is enriching our local sports scene.
