TANG – a dance performance by Anton Himstedt, Alessio Silvestrin & Luca Bagnoli, as well as spatial-sound compositions for the Klangdom.

- Hold algae up against the sunlight and it will create a limitless musical score –

Anton Himstedt drew on this concept to create a series of images, as well as compiled sequences of sound, both natural and specially arranged. This material forms the basis of the composition developed by Luca Bagnoli using mapping procedures at the ZKM Institute for Music and Acoustics. In this process, specific graphical notations were transferred into spatial acoustic images.

The choreographer and dancer Alessio Silvestrin moves between the boundaries and the centres of the graphical notations in a room filled with sounds.

– Halte eine Alge gegen das Sonnenlicht, und es entwickelt sich eine unendliche Partitur. –

Aus dieser Vorstellung kreierte Anton Himstedt eine Serie von Zeichnungen und sammelte sowohl natürliche als auch speziell arrangierte Tonsequenzen. Dieses Material bildete die Grundlage für die Komposition, die Luca Bagnoli mittels Mappingverfahren am Institut für Musik und Akustik des ZKM entwickelte. Dabei wurden die spezifischen graphischen Notationen in räumlich akustische Bilder überführt.

Der Choreograf und Tänzer Alessio Silvestrin bewegt sich zwischen den Rändern und den Zentren der zeichnerischen Notationen in einem Raum von Tönen.
