Alex Staniforth has achieved more than many would in a lifetime.

Alex is no stranger to adversity and overcoming obstacles including epilepsy, anxiety, depression, bullying and a stammer.

In 2014, Alex's first attempt at Everest was cut short when an ice avalanche killed 16 Nepalese guides in the Khumbu Icefall.

The following year aged 19, Alex was caught up in an avalanche on Mount Everest just below Camp 1, during his second attempt to climb to the summit. Tragically three of his team mates were killed at Base Camp.

In this interview Alex talks about what it was like surviving the avalanche and being trapped on the mountain.

Alex is also an author and motivational speaker, and offers something very unique - to help others build resilience and overcome their own ‘Everest in life’.
