This week we have Alex Sutherlin taking on the saxophone classic "Saint Thomas" by Sonny Rollins.

In addition to discussing what Sonny Rollins means to him, Alex and I talk about his journey as a musician from playing in the sea world party band to becoming the band leader of UTSA’s unofficial jazz band, his time playing at a dueling piano bar, joining a ska band with connections to All American Rejects, opening up and collaborating with Grammy award nominated Nothing More, and how he uses technology to teach his students as orchestra director and assistant band director at a local middle school.
