Following several sexual assault allegations which surfaced in 2020, Alexander Wang took a 3-year hiatus only to return last Tuesday with a star-studded runway show in L.A.'s Chinatown. From the supermodels walking the show to the celebrities publicly praising the designer, welcoming Wang calls into question the industry's performativity amidst the #MeToo movement. As a Creative Strategist with a strong background in PR and Crisis Management, Melanie Commey offers her insight into how and why his comeback has been orchestrated.
