The Food and Drug Administration and AB World Foods Inc. are recalling Al’Fez Natural Tahini in 5.6oz glass jars. This tahini is contaminated with salmonella. This bacterium can cause serious and sometimes fatal gastrointestinal and systemic infections in young children, elderly persons, and others with weakened immune systems. Affected are lot #s 3031, 3080, 3270, and 3297.
