We investigate instances where artificial intelligence and machine learning systems have detected inexplicable patterns or presences that human observers missed. The episode covers the controversial 2023 case of a security AI flagging non-existent people in empty rooms, and the pattern-recognition algorithm that discovered mysterious signals in historical ghost photography.
