There's so much happening during Pride Month, it’s almost difficult to keep track. And all that activity is a great thing!



First up, we all learn about legendary photographer Alice Austen as we welcome award-winning documentary photographer and filmmaker Joan Biren (JEB) and Janice Monger, the executive director of Alice Austen House in New York City, to talk all about the historic designation of the museum as a national site of LGBTQ history. This is a really big deal and thus this chat has a ton of ground to cover regarding art, visibility, and progress. 



Then, we’re thrilled to be joined by Randy Arnold, the original ambassador of Barefoot Wine & Bubbly. They’re doing such incredible work to support Prides and the LGBTQ march towards equality, and we’re thrilled to be able to feature these efforts. And Randy gives Ken some free wine advice!

This is it, folks: our 430th and last ever episode of This Show is So Gay. And we’re going out the same way we came in a decade ago: by featuring some of our favorite voices making a difference in the world. 



First, we’re overjoyed to welcome Neda Ulaby of NPR’s Arts Desk back to the show. Neda openly shares her lust and rage as she pulls back the curtain on some of her LGBTQ-related stories this past year. We just plain adore her. 



Then, we’re thrilled to welcome communications, activism, and PR legend Cathy Renna back to the show as the final guest of our 10-year run. Cathy shares her unique perspective on how to craft a message, how to remember Edie Windsor, and how to tell your story in a way that others will hear. There’s no way we would rather end. 



And that’s what we have for you this one last time. Get out there, put on your cape, use your voice, make a difference, and remember: why be gay, when you can be SO gay?!?

We are honored, humbled and OVERJOYED to welcome the legendary Kate Bornstein to the show. Kate’s seminal work has blazed trails through our culture and has created and enhanced desperately needed dialogue on gender. This is a rollicking, wide-ranging interview covering everything from culture creating gender to gender-reveal parties to gender euphoria. Did we mention the part where Kate is a legend and it was just an honor to speak with her?!?



All this and some of the latest LGBTQ news including an 8-year-old who was kicked out of a soccer tournament because her hair was too short. Really and truly.
