On May 25th, 1979 we witnessed the first encounter of an Xenomorph. With female lead role, Ellen Ripley, played by the lovely Sigourney Weaver. After losing her entire crew to this unidentified species, this was the start to the franchise we grew to love and hate as time went on. Alien won 1 Oscar Award, with another 16 wins with 20 nominations. Ridley Scott who directed the film, wanted the creatures to become scary. In order to do so, he fly over seas and recruited the beloved H.R. Giger, who at the time was showing off his masterpieces of art.
