Sweet romantic story very good

A Quick Romance and Read

The sexy cover is a visual draw that does its job well. This short story starts off well enough. Samantha is that stereotypical heroine who isn't popular, never had a boyfriend, and doesn't have a model's slim physique. And Xor, the hero, well, he's like the cover image. In general, I don't mind cliches in romance novels. So the average human woman hooking up with a hot alien who gives her all she's been missing isn't a deal breaker. Because the book was so short, I never felt like I got to know Xor. Sam was marginally better, since the book was mainly from her POV. She had a great mother and their relationship was sweet. I must admit, I didn't get some of the logic behind key plot points or the decisions made by Sam, especially concerning her mother. I wish the author would've handled the part with Sam's mother differently. Overall, it's a quick read with a likable hero and heroine who get their HEA.

I wish there was more...

I wish there had been more to this story. It has a lot of potential but it didn't feel fully formed to me. This is the story of a single, lonely Earth woman who is swept off her feet (and planet) by an alien prince. Unfortunately, the story seems to skip from the couple meeting almost straight to their happy ever after. I enjoy the occasional sexy read that's thin on plot but I felt like this book could be so much more. I would have liked to see some actual romance in the story. Additionally, I think the various plot devices the author used could have been put to better use (Alien prince, the Prince's enemy, the telepathy, the heroine's mother, etc). It was a quick read but it left me wanting more.

This is a lighting fast read that will have you lol. It's straight to the point and a fun read. You can read this when you are waiting to see the doctor or if you just have a few minutes to kill.

Normally I don't enjoy novellas but I do enjoy a good alien romance. This goes very fast (I read this in about 1/2 hour). The story line is good, it has potential to be made into a longer novel. I kind of wish they would have brought the mom along or even went back and got her. It was sad that she was left behind with no one but the cat. The characters were likable. Overall I did like the book, just wish it was longer. I received this product for free in exchange for an honest review.
