Luke 7; Proverbs 18:21; James 3:5
In this chapter, we witness Jesus performing several miracles. First, Jesus heals a centurion's slave after the centurion expresses faith in Jesus' ability to heal with just a word. Then, as Jesus approaches the city gate, he encounters a funeral procession. He has compassion for the grieving mother, who is a widow, and he brings her dead son back to life with his voice.
Furthermore, Jesus instructs John the Baptist's disciples to report back to John about the miracles and teachings that Jesus is performing, reassuring John that Jesus is indeed the Christ. Jesus not only performs many healings but also preaches the gospel to the poor, offering them hope and spiritual richness.
Lastly, Jesus forgives the sins of a woman who anoints his feet with expensive perfume. This demonstrates that Jesus is faithful even to those who have sinned greatly but sincerely seek forgiveness and adore him.
