Being an only child in a traditional Asian family means a lot of unspoken rules, quiet expectations, and feelings that don’t always get voiced. After 5 years of studying abroad and chasing opportunities, I chose to come back home—partly out of love, partly guilt. Now, with a full-time job and another degree checked off the "adulting list", my mind still drifts to the places I haven’t seen yet. I’m Phuong, and this is Barely Spoken — my little corner of the internet where I finally say the things I never could growing up ♡
