Sermon by Adam Cetrangolo; Matthew 2.13-23

 

The final verses of Matthew's Birth narrative demonstrate both the hostility to the arrival of the infant King as well as the depth of the Father's love that he would come to us vulnerable, weak and despised.  Matthew draws on ancient prophecies to help us understand the fulfilment of God's grand rescuse plan.
