In a world obsessed with coming first, the Bible teaches something surprising: relationships actually thrive when we choose second. In Ephesians 5:21–6:9, Paul calls believers to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.” Jesus Himself showed this way—serving others and giving His life. When we follow His example in our marriages, families, and workplaces, relationships flourish and people see the love of Christ. Choosing second is how relationships win.
