2025 closed with a sad note for movie lovers with the loss of Rob Reiner, and for early sci-fi TV fans with Gil Gerard’s last ride into the stars. (On the bright side, Dick Van Dyke is 100 years old and having a Jolly Holiday.) But before The Guys go into their Rob Reiner Retrospective, they lead off with a Geek of the Week or three. Jay shares a Florida Man headline, but this time it’s Legos. Art brings the obits, with commentary on the loss of Buck. And Robbie is looking forward to his new computer as early as 1982.
Rob Reiner’s passing was certainly a tragedy, but The Guys celebrate his career as actor, director and producer with a chat about their favorite Reiner films (there is definite overlap). As it turns out, they CAN handle the truth. No meat-heads in this bunch. That would be inconceivable.
