A change of scenery for English flanker Maisy Allen. 

At the start of the season, she made the move to Christchurch to play for Canterbury in the Farah Palmer Cup. 

Ahead of their semifinal clash against Manawatu, she joined Lesley Murdoch to chat about her journey both on and off the field.

Broadcaster and sports journalist Phil Gifford is being remembered as passionate man with a deep interest in both people and events.  

The man who first rose to prominence as Loosehead Len in the 1970s has died aged 79. 

Gifford's career spanned radio, television and newspapers across five decades. 

Sports Journalist Lynn McConnell was both a colleague and friend of Gifford, and joined Lesley Murdoch to pay tribute.

A rare modern-day milestone looms for Canterbury prop Daniel Lienert-Brown in rugby's NPC. 

He'll bring up 100 games for the province tonight when they host winless Wellington in Christchurch. 

Lienert-Brown says he's been lucky to share the field with some Canterbury legends since his debut in 2014. 

He spoke with the media ahead of the milestone match.

A high note for St Andrew's College, as they've secured their spot in the national First XV final for the first time. 

They're set to face Tauranga Boy's College on Sunday, both sides vying for the title.
