"Who is the man you can't ignore, it's SUPERMAN! From Budapest to Baltimore it's SUPERMAN!"
Alan and Rob are joined once again by long-time friend of the show Matt Truex as they delve into the weird and wonderful history of the ill-fated (and yet indestructible) 1966 Broadway musical version of Superman.
Fascinating connections with the Superman movie series! Problematic villains! Questionable deviations from the source material! All of these oddities abound, culminating in what may in fact be the strangest piece of Superman media ever: the 1975 TV special adaptation of the musical! Get ready for some hot takes!
Later, Matt unearths a diamond in the rough - the 2010 Dallas revival of the musical which heavily adapted the original book, creating a brand new story far closer to the Superman legend so near and dear to our hearts. You won't want to miss this!
Be sure to send us any thoughts you have on the Broadway musical, YOUR favourite musicals (superhero or otherwise) or even a voicenote of you belting our your favourite musical numbers!

George will be appearing at Dublin Comic Con on August 24th and 25th 2024. Tickets on sale now!

"Can you FLY, Bobby?"
Alan and Rob usher in 2024 by taking a brief vacation from Metropolis all the way to Old Detroit (or is it Delta City by now?) to delve deeply into all the cybernetic treasures in the RoboCop franchise! Who is he? What is he? Is he a superhero or not?
In addition to Paul Verhoeven's original 1987 masterpiece, we talk the highs and lows of the sequels! The comics! The toys! The Joel Edgerton reboot! The TV miniseries from 2001! And of course, the hidden gem of the franchise (no seriously!), 1994's Canada-tastic RoboCop: The Series.
PLUS we give our thoughts on the recently released RoboCop: Rogue City for PC and consoles.
This episode is a long one! Use the timecodes if you want to skip around!
Joining the lads is returning guest Stuart Mulrain from the And Why Not? podcast. Check out Stuart's own episode reviewing the first RoboCop movie!
