All the places our intuition has taken us with Hallie Rose

“My intuition was saying, Yeah, you were born for this. And my logical brain was saying, People won’t listen to you, what do you have to say? And then my soul: I have a lot to say. Trust it, trust it.” DISCLAIMER: WHAT WE TALK ABOUT ON IN MY TRUTH TENDS TO BE VERY RAW AND CAN BE TRIGGERING. “My days of being a doormat are done. They’re done.”
Welcome everyone to this episode of In My Truth!
I recorded this episode of the podcast in Costa Rica with my gorgeous friend Hallie Rose. I’d just finished up a week-long ayahuasca retreat at Soltara, which is always an amazing and transformative experience for me. (You can read the whole series of my first experience at Soltara here.)
But on this beautiful warm day, the birds were chirping and I was sitting with my beautiful friend Hallie.
Hallie Rose is doing a three-month volunteer position at Soltara, helping out with social media and recording her own podcast - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mSKYmBl-Cw (you can find the episode with me here.)
She’s been on a journey of healing herself through other people’s stories, just like we are all doing on this journey with the In My Truth podcast, which was also born after an ayahuasca experience. Hallie is spreading the messages of other people’s stories, and in the process being a sponge of healing, learning and growing.
The work is constant and it never ends, so what is Hallie Rose wrangling with at the moment?
Thematically over 2019, Hallie was faced with a variety of opportunities to show up for herself and work on her intuition, but it is still something she struggles with.
Let’s dive in.
“What is my intuition and what is my fear? How do I delineate between that inner knowing and my ego holding me back?”
Join your host Sarah Riegelhuth as she’s joined by Hallie Rose in this episode of In My Truth, as they dive into working out where their gifts are, storytelling, resistance to the limelight, and developing trust.
“It’s kind of like being a little piece on a board game, and you’re being moved along. And then ayahuasca came into my life and it’s like someone plucked that piece off the board and says, ‘Do you realise you were on a board? Do you realise you were part of a game?’ while holding it loftily above the board. And the perspective that comes with that is so immense it’s almost crippling.” -
Listen in to the In My Truth podcast as Sarah Riegelhuth and Hallie Rose get deep into the stories around creating a podcast, exploring healing with ayahuasca, and being told they’re acting selfishly.
“If I can just have trust that he did what he needed to do in his lifetime and that gifted to me what I need to do in my lifetime, then that helps me put something even as difficult as death into perspective.”
Since sharing more of their stories, Sarah and Hallie have opened the doors on more and more beautiful stories and conversations that have been incredibly healing. The conversations that happen behind closed doors can be so beneficial for others to hear.
Where could you be sharing more in order to help others heal and grow?
Hallie and Sarah also get vulnerable with the stories they’re living with around:
the yearning of our souls
being a storyteller
being seen
the logical brain
staying in a place of trust
allowing emotion
owning our own stuff
turning inward
calling medicine into our lives
peace
abandonment wounding
soul contracts and gratitude
ayahuasca love bubbles
spiritual bypassing
asserting boundaries
putting our needs above others’
projecting onto our partner
feeling it out
addiction to being busy
forgiving ourselves
consciously uncoupling
our friendships
attachment styles
taking space in a relationship
...more
