In listening to Chris Proudfoot speak on Websleuths the other night, it occurred to me what a scary place "home" could have been for Sebastian Rogers if stepdad was mad, if stepdad thought Sebastian needed to punished for something. And it sounds like his other "home" with his dad, Seth Rogers, could have also been less than ideal at times. This kid was dealing with so much in his young life. Allow me to break it all down and explain why I don't think we have to look beyond the family unit for trouble.
