Myself and @jakeputan run with this theme on this episode of the podcast and I believe it rings very true for the present moment.
If you look at almost all ancient mythologies and a lot of great movies, they run a very particular theme. There’s a main protagonist (hero) who before he/she can obtain their power they almost have to die and then be reborn again with a greater piece of knowledge/power/insight.
Harry Potter, Jesus Christ, Superman... Before a boy can turn into a man he has to heal and shed the skin of the child in order for something greater to step through.
In plant medicine ceremonies, you have to let your ego die in order to obtain greater knowledge or what the Greeks called ‘gnosis’ and wake up in the game of life.
All things must perish in order to allow for a birth of something new.
