Rev. 21 

1. All things will be new. (1-4, 6b)

• Heaven and earth will be new. (1)
• There will be a new capital city. (2)
• We will have a new life with God. (3)
• We will live a new kind of life. (4, 6b)

 II. God once again showed a distinction among people. (7-8)

• Saved people will live with God in this new place. (7)
• Sinners will live in the lake of fire. (8)

 III. The angel showed John the bride of Christ. (9)

 IV. John gave us a description of the new city. (11-14)

• It will reflect the glory of God. (11)
• Accessibility will have been made available by a Jewish blessing. (12)
• The disciples' confession will support its wall. (14)

 V. The angel told John about the city’s structure. (15-23)

• The city is a giant cube. (16-17)
• God will use precious materials to build the city (18-21)
• God will be the defining part of the city. (22)
• God will give light to the city (23)

 VI. The angel told John about people visiting the city. (24-26)

• The city will be the light of the world. (24, 25)

• The gates will always be open. (25)

 VII. God reminds us again that only Christians will enter the city. (27)
