Active in the start-up scene since 2005, Andreas Schemm has been part of a few interesting start-ups, helping to build them from the ground up. Those start-ups were mostly active in the entertainment/tech scene as well as fun sports.
After a couple of years helping to grow LaserTag Germany into a nationwide brand with its own German Tournament League and leading a nationwide team of over 50 people as Co-CEO/COO, he decided to found his own company in 2016 - Project: Gateway VR Studios. They developed disruptive solutions for Virtual Reality, gaming, and digital content in general. After an intensive R&D phase, they managed to create a technology to embed ad spaces directly into various software (like a “digital billboard”) without interrupting the user experience – no popups or interstitials. They also made use of the promising technology of blockchain to counter some of the problems currently plaguing digital advertising, which had not been done before.
In 2021, he joined HUMAN, which provides a new way for humans and machines to interact, enabling job markets with all the upsides of using Blockchain and ML, where he currently advises them on Ecosystem Development as well as Operations.
