On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we cover one long chapter! Israel sees their first combat victory in quite some time! This is followed up by the new generation speaking against Moses AND GOD! God sends his just judgement and the people are quick to repent. As the people continue to move through the wilderness towards the Promised Land they sing praise for God’s provision and see two more combat victories! 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace podcast we see in chapter 19 a special ritual for the making of the water for purification. Again, another way God is catering to the Israelites humanity and situations. In chapter 20 we start off strong with the death of Miriam. That is quickly followed by you guessed it, more grumbling by the people for water. God gives Moses and Aaron instruction on how to provide the water to the Israelites and their cattle, and they do not follow his commands. What happens to the leaders when they defy God? On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast, God starts off with a miracle. He makes it known that Aaron is his chosen high priest, and the Levites are the appointed ones to take care of the tabernacle and minister to the congregation and the priests. He does this by making Aaron's rod bud and bloom and even produce ripe almonds! We get into a deep discussion about discontented hearts, and end with God's instructions to the Levites about what and how they are to tithe. 

On this episode of the Allergic to Grace Podcast we have a little review of some of the laws regarding sacrifices similar to the laws given in Leviticus. We see them "updated" to fit WHEN the Israelites enter into the promised land. We discuss unintentional sin, intentional sin, and high-handed sin. We talk about how the Israelites knew when to march and when to camp. We see Israel finally leaving Mount Saini! The excitement is short lived as we see the people begin to complain AGAIN. We see how the different tribes made the same offerings to the Tabernacle over a twelve-day period after Moses set up the Holy things inside. We see carts and oxen given to the Levites which are used in hauling pieces of the Tabernacle when the camp moves. We read about Moses hearing the voice of God from the Mercy Seat. At the end of this episode, we talk about how the Levites were cleansed and dedicated to God, and about how they were to retire at a certain age.
